This year for Halloween we decided to utilize my belly, so I went as Hester Prynne and Bret was Reverend Arthur Dimmesdale. Bret pointed out that Hester wasn't sentenced to wear the scarlet "A" until after Pearl was born, but we figured no one would care about that minor technicality.
